When I was a kid at least half of us pronounced it “Fudge-Ickle”. We knew what the wrapper said, but that’s how some of us said it. Where this came from I’ll never know. How many of you said it that way too? ---

Well, not fudge-ickle exactly, more like ‘fudjikle’, because you have to say it really fast 🙂 The reason that we called them that is because that’s what my gramma calls them. Oh, and I also call pot pies ‘popeyes’ 🙂 ---

II’ve always pronounced it fudgeickle, but I harbour many a weird pronunciation. For example, I used to drive my friends nuts when I would pronounce “frankenstein”, frankensteen (rhymes with bean). Don’t know why I do that. ---
