Mip-sims. But we military types are quite adroit at pronouncing acronyms. ---

m-p-sims here Has anyone else noticed that if the title were changed to “Mundane Pointless Stuff I SIMPLY Must Share”, it would then be called “M-P-Sisms”? (Or Mipsisms, if you prefer.) You know, like witticism, or criticism. The very first time I read the title, I thought it should have that extra S word, both for the acronym’s sake and for a more mellifluous forum title. Or would I be tampering with the sacred here? ---

I’m stupid and I always see some of the letters reversed, so I pronounce it like “Miss Pisms.” ---

Mumpsimus. This has the advantage of being a real (if archaic) word that fits in quite nicely. Look it up (if you have an unabridged-enough dictionary). ---
