# How do you pronounce "Reuters"?

If you’ve ever seen the movie **A Dispatch from Reuters** , with Edward G. Robinson, you’d know.
The climax of the film has Reuters reporting that Lincoln had been shot, long before anyone else. Parliament calls this fearmongering and the MPs are cast “Rooters” as they keep calling him.
Then a dispatch comes in confirming the news. They change their tune, and praise “Mr. Rooters” (who is there) and asks him to speak.
He thanks them, then, in the final line of the film, Robinson says, “By the way, it’s pronouned ‘Roy-ters.’”
