In the last few years, I’ve heard a lot of things like “gedduh” (“get to”), I think exclusively from girls.
Having a Michigan accent, I tend to slur my words. So “going to” comes out “goin’a” and “I’m going to go to Meijer” comes out “I’munnagodaMeijers.”
But “too” tends to come out right.
Long O sound? FTR, I have never heard anyone pronounce “to” with a long “O” sound. Wouldn’t the a long O sound like “toe” (the digits on your feet) or tow (like what you might do to a trailer)?
I pronounce “to” with a long “U” sound like “tube”. I don’t think i differentiate between “to” “two” and 'too".
