If a username contains anything related to cats, the user is always female. I’ve never seen this rule broken. ---

I just pick them up and turn them over on their bellies to check, like you do with kittens! :^) Most people already assume I’m female, which is good, because that’s what I am. ---

This thread has certainly been a revelation to me. I’ve met beatle (aka Andrea) and the Lion (a feline username) in real life and I never had a clue. Now I’m starting to wonder about Cessandra’s interest in _The Rocky Horror Picture Show_ and what secrets that might portent. If I post to any threads with female presence, the thread dies instantly. I also have no difficulty telling the bright ones from the dull ones as the former are the ones who agree with me most of the time. ---
