I bend over, and I have a wash glove that I wear to wash thoroughly between the toes (I can suffer athlete’s foot\* otherwise). It’s uncomfortable though, and I think a bench in the shower would be useful. \* Fun fact: athlete's foot in Mandarin Chinese is "Hong Kong foot". ---

Most of the time, I use the trickle down method and it’s sufficient. In warmer weather I wear open sandals and my feet do get dirtier, so I bend over and wash each one by hand. ---

I have a scrub “glove” I use not only for its vigorous washing capabilities, but also because it removes the upper layer of epidermal tissue on my feet that can look icky if it builds up. I “take a knee” and scrub one foot, and then reverse my position by taking the other knee and scrubbing the other foot. If your knees are sensitive and kneeling hurts, put a waterproof pad or folded up wash towel under them. It’s much safer than your methodology. ---

I have back issues and try not to bend unless totally necessary. Lower legs and feet are washed with a long handled back brush. Totally works and exfoliates my feet at the same time. ---

Until recently I had a shower with a door that had a railing that ran around the inside, so I would hold on to that and pull up my legs one at a time to hit them with the scrubby foot brush, then washcloth for between the toes. I really hate the feeling of dirty feet and can’t go to sleep unless I clean them, so I make sure to get them each night. ---

I bend my knee and wash my foot behind my back with a long handled brush. Kind of like grooming a horse’s hoof. When I saw the thread title I was going to say something along the lines of "well at least we’re talking about “how” and not “if”. I think we had a long discussion about that in the past with opinions divided and vehemently defended. I trust each person to know whether their own feet are clean enough. Me, I just do it because it feels good. ---

My feet don’t stink. Boy howdy did they used to when I was a teenager but that stopped by the time I hit my 20s. And yes I’ve had plenty of people who would have told me. ---

My feet sometimes do have that “not so fresh” scent come 6 p.m. (when my shoes come off), but I’m pretty sure that’s due to being in sweaty socks all day and not because I didn’t rub them with soap for 30 seconds at 7 a.m. And yes, my wife frequently gives me unvarnished critiques of my personal aroma. ---

I’m another non-foot washer. I’ve never had foot odor and my shoes don’t stink. My feet soak in the soap suds that are on the non-slip bath mat while I’m washing the rest of me. ---

Standing in the shower, one foot washes the other with the shampoo that trickles down from my head, which I am rubbing with my hands, so those get cleaned in the process as well. The hands also rub the parts in between, as far as they can reach them. That excludes a bit of the back and the shins. After that process my hands (and as a by product, the rest of me) are clean and soaked enough to become soft, so that I feel comfortable enough when I clean my contact lenses with them. I do that immediately after leaving the shower and drying myself with a towel. That is why I shower every morning (or later, depending on the day): to clean my contact lenses.
