# How do you watch a movie?

**Cervaise** , I hated _Moulin Rouge_ with a passion. I as extremely disappointed by the film bacause I had heard such good things about it, from sources I could normally agree with. The entire reason I disliked, and , infact, did not could not finish watching it is the editing. I felt challenged briefly, then confused, then apathetic. All in less than 30 minutes. I can’t tell you when I turned it off because I have no idea what was happening at that point in the film. It seemed like it should have been wildly funny at time, but I didn’t know why. It felt like an incredibly expensive, well-made lavishly produced music video for a band I hated. Or something. I just wanted to rant about it. Carry on.
