How does a person get a job with a charity organization

In your experience maybe, not mine.

Where I work, nobody – not the development director, not the executive director, not the person whose given 15 years of her life, makes as much as $60,000 a year. They’re making less than public school teachers with the same degree and experience.

And my executive director has never been to Hawaii, period.

Where I work…well.

The office in which I work no one makes a disgusting some of money. The State offices, no one.

But the National Offices…well the head of everything does make a disgusting some of money. DISGUSTING.

Just take everything with a grian of salt. Nothing written on the check itself is binding by the way. If you want your donation to go to something specific, we need a letter enclosed with the check with your personal signature.

It is very true that we compete with all the other charities out there. I don’t fundraise, at least not much, in my field. I always think you should subscribe to whatever is personally important to you.
