I think you missed my point, honey.

So, are you as outraged by white folks who live two families to a home? I will say this as delicately as possible, but if you live in Georgia, odds are that you’ve got lots of poor white folks shackin’ up, too.

I live in the redneck part of California and God knows I’ve known all kinds of white folks living multi families to a home. They are American, though, so is that ok?

Again: this is a poverty problem. Poor people have lots of kids, white black hispanic or whatever. Lots of kids are a drain on the resources of schools.

Who the fuck is “we”? White folk? I know plenty of poor whites that do just this, friend.

Yup, those goddamn Messicans, always scurrying around like the little Speedy Gonzales’ that they are. Look, sugar, I live in California- I assure you that we have a “large” population of immigrants. And, by comparison, you probably don’t. Feel free to provide cites to the contrary, though.

Also, please address how you know which people are illegal and which are just brown people that are in your way?

All renters, even renters in apartment complexes, pay property tax via their rent. It’s calculated in the rental amount by the landlord/property owner.

And as for many families living together? Well, pay them a living wage and then maybe they can rent their own house. PLUS there’s more federal and state income tax, too. Win win.

I have no idea what your problem is. Yes, the posts are public. Sometimes they are meant to address a specific poster. Sometimes they are offered to the thread in general. It’s fine to miscontrue one for the other, but after you do and it is explained to you—and you can go back and see the actual exchange, which makes it rather obvious—then you should say something like, “Oh. I see now”. Or you can throw sand down your pants and then twist your panties in a wad. One response is appropriate, the other isn’t. But hey, it’s your choice.

Man, you’ve got a bug up your ass. You expressed that you had trouble understanding what I was saying. I politely explained it in more detail, assuming that I was, in fact, unclear. Yet you insist to rub your panties in the sand box and slip them back on.

Odd.

Well you should. Really. I was addressing a specific problem I think _she_ had with _her_ thinking. In fact, I share your feeling that my answer to her was almost painfully rudimentary. But you act as if I just volunteered it out of the blue. I didn’t. You may want to pay closer attention to not only what is being said, but _why_.

Or do you find that objectionable, too?

This has nothing to do with their immigration status. Hit and run car accidents happen that involve citizens as well. The immigration issue is this example is irrelevant.

Other people have experienced these crimes committed by citizens. The immigration issue is this example is irrelevant.

Plenty of people have been attacked by dogs owned by citizens and had the exact same thing happen. In some of those cases, the victims haven’t even been able to have the attacking dog put down or dealt with at all. The immigration issue is this example is irrelevant.

> F) Multi-hour waits at the local emergency room because of the number of illegals who refuse to find and pay a Primary Care Physician. I have 2 neighbors who work there and are frustrated no end by the sniffles and sprains they care for instead of actual emergencies. Yes, triage gets the bleeders to the front of the line, but they shouldn’t be there in the first place. The added bonus of course is, they don’t pay for shit, so the rest of us pay for them. Auto insurance as well.

Plenty of poor citizens use emergency rooms for primary care due to their lack of money or lack of health insurance or both. The immigration issue is this example is irrelevant.

> G) Double homicide on my street. No, I don’t live in a ghetto or barrio. The comps on my street are 300K. Mexicans rented a house down the way as a drug distribution house which is a common tactic in the Atlanta area. They try to stay un-noticed, but a pickup went south and the shooting started. I don’t need my children ducking gunfire as they walk home from school.

Citizens commit homicides as well, in good neighborhoods as well as bad. The immigration issue is this example is irrelevant.

I don’t know that it’s irrelevant. It’s harder for illegal immigrants to get car insurance and drivers licenses, and illegal immigrants are, because of their position, less likely to want to interact with law enforcement personnel. These facts taken together seem to make it more likely that they’d be involved in hit and runs.

Calling strangers “honey” is probably a good way to raise their hackles. Let’s not get personal and leave the personal “endearments” out of this discussion.

Perhaps, but until I see some data, I’m going to remember all the other times I’ve heard stories from friends, relatives and strangers about being in hit-and-run accidents in which they DIDN’T remark on the ethnicity of the person (generally indicating that the person was white), and then continue to remind people that car accidents involving citizens (either uninsured, underinsured, or hit-and-run) ALSO occur, and for people to use car accidents as examples of how their lives have been impacted by illegal immigration is specious at best.

Unless you want to make a case that the vacuum of their removal would be filled by other crimes and that extra social services would be required your statements are false.

We set limits of immigrants into this country based on our ability to absorb them. Mexico is unique in it’s proximity as a source of those immigrants and we are paying for it.

Excellent post. Not that it will sway the illegal immigration apologists. Yes, bad things happen and burdens are put on us through our own citizens. But that is no reason to accept more negative acts by a group that shouldn’t even be there. Thank goodness for the 70% in Arizona.
