Sally Struthers said in an interview that during _All in the Family_ she was offered a fortune to do a _Playboy_ spread. (I don’t remember the amount- I want to say 1 million but it may not have been that much, though I'm sure it would be well over that in 2011 .) She said not doing it is the decision she regrets the most: in addition to the fortune that money could have made her if she’d invested it (example: imagine what a house you bought for $200,000 in L.A. in 1974 would be worth today- well, okay, probably about $150,000, but there was probably a window when you’d have been able to sell it for well over $1 million plus you wouldn’t have a mortgage) she’d have a memento of when she looked good naked.

A couple others that could be added are Suzanne Somers and Denise Crosby.  
Denise first appeared in 1979 when she was billed as Bing’s granddaughter and resurfaced nine years later when Star Trek: TNG went on the air.

Somers had photos from several years earlier appear in 1980 and four years later did a photo shoot. Her career went about as successful as you could hope for someone who first came to prominence as a dumb big breasted blonde.

Actress-wise yes, but I thinking she was making some decent money with the infomercials she was doing like the [Thighmaster](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8_9LKmITloc)
