Same font used for the Hellboy movies, and presumably the comics as well. Someone designed that font, I wonder if copyright covers such things.

Why would anybody boo that which should be cheered and celebrated?

I highly appreciate President Trump’s rational and logical approach towards gathering intel and we are going to make enhanced interrogation great again!🙂

> […] if someone suggest a gay man should kill himself for saying things against homosexuality, the big idea is that he, as a gay man, is not supposed to say those things.

In the first place, you seem to be consistently misunderstanding the key point. Namely, the reason Yiannopoulos shouldn’t say bigoted homophobic shit is **not** because _“he, as a gay man, is not supposed to say those things”_, but rather because **_nobody_ should say those things**.

Because those things are bigoted homophobic shit.

In the second place, you also misunderstood the quote you cited. **Budget Player Cadet** was very clearly not saying that Yiannopoulos “should kill himself”. Rather, he was saying that Yiannopoulos’s homophobic vitriol exhibits so much self-loathing that it’s puzzling how he’s managed **not** to kill himself.

Once more, as clearly as I can state it: \*\*Liberals do not despise Yiannopoulos merely for not being a stereotypical liberal gay person, nor are liberals worried that his conservative cred makes conservatives look “open-minded” or “LGBT-friendly”.

Liberals despise Yiannopoulos because he’s a spiteful, amoral, opportunistic, hate-filled racist homophobic misogynistic troll. And the fact that conservatives have been supporting and promoting a spiteful, amoral, opportunistic, hate-filled racist homophobic misogynistic troll does not do jack-shit to make them look “LGBT-friendly”.\*\*

BPC on Yiannopoulos:
_“If I hated an immutable part of my identity that much, I would have killed myself years ago.”_

I take it then that if I were to tell you, if I was you I’d kill myself, you wouldn’t take it as if I’m suggesting you should kill yourself?
Let’s see if that concept works in other areas:

“If I were you I would change phone service provider”
“If I were you I would quit that job”
“If I were you I would quit smoking”

Etc, etc…

When someone tells you something like that you don’t understand it as a suggestion on what you should do? please don’t be disingenuous.
You know, what helps to sort issues like this is to change the subject of a statement, I can blipping guarantee you that if, let’s say Yiannopoulos would have twitted to Leslie Jones something like, “Your movie bombed, if I were you I’d kill myself” you’d have a media storm over him telling her to kill herself.

As for the rest, Yiannopoulos is a professional troll, with a Socratic angle, he hits where he thinks it hurts the most, that’s why I think he called his tour the Dangerous Faggot tour, why dangerous? from one of the links BCP provided:

["You might not have expected the crowd at a rally outside the Republican National Convention to cheer an out-and-proud gay man who bragged about his good looks and sex life. But in the age of Donald Trump, anything is possible: even a conservative Christian audience going gaga over Milo Yiannopoulos.

“The left does not own homosexuals anymore,” Yiannopoulos, an editor for Breitbart and provocative campus speaker, told the crowd. “We’re your gays.”"]([Milo Yiannopoulos Proposed a Gay-Conservative Alliance and the Pro-Trump Crowd Loved It](http://reason.com/blog/2016/07/18/milo-yiannopoulos-proposed-a-gay-conserv))

Drawing people away from the progressive left diminishes its political power, I think that’s a fairly obvious and uncontentious assertion, and in my opinion him driving that wedge is in part what makes him especially loathsome to the progressive left; you seem to think that is not the case; I disagree because I see him getting a level of hatred others who say similar things don’t (you know, like full blown riots to stop him from speaking), as I said YM obviously V.

> And apparently you cannot tell the difference between being entertained by _theatrical simulations of fictional conflict_ and being entertained by watching _actual people get hurt in real-life conflict_. Do you watch ISIS decapitation videos for fun, too?

I haven’t seen Milo endorse Nazi’s. Is this true or a slander? Yes, I enjoy contentious debates. That’s the whole point of debates! To have a subject people disagree about and then hash it out. It’s pretty boring if everyone agrees.

Here just for you. Hitler and Stalin are bad people! Can we all agree? How fun…

The rest of your diatribe is dishonest and/or personal attacks. Can’t you engage in reason? Is your brain not wired for critical and honest thinking?

That is a lie. You consistently and repeatedly say the same lie and that makes it no more true. All it does is demonstrate you can’t discuss a topic honestly. Since there is no law or policy against you lying have at it I suppose.

Your mileage may in fact vary, depending on your personal degree of reading comprehension.

Milo Yiannopolous’s language indicates that he really hates gay people. He’s made this explicitly clear at numerous times, feeding into all the worst myths and disgusting lies about gay people. I personally cannot imagine holding that much hatred for such an integral part of my identity. If I did, I probably would have killed myself. Call that a weakness of my character, I suppose.

What makes Milo racist? Are you just throwing out accusations or has he demonstrated he’s a racist? And he’s gay. What’s up with the accusation of homophobic? What reality do some of you live in where words have no meaning?

I mentioned Humpty Dumpty earlier. Here’s why it was relevant.

_‘I don’t know what you mean by “glory”,’ Alice said.
Humpty Dumpty smiled contemptuously. ‘Of course you don’t — till I tell you. I meant “there’s a nice knock-down argument for you!”’
‘But “glory” doesn’t mean “a nice knock-down argument”,’ Alice objected.
‘When I use a word,’ Humpty Dumpty said, in rather a scornful tone, ‘it means just what I choose it to mean — neither more nor less.’_

That’s a good example of how it is engaging in a discussion with people who use words randomly.

As Kimstu points out: nobody should say those things that he does. He was a panelist on a TV Show and he called the other panelists “awful” to their faces. That isn’t fucking normal. Nobody does that.

What **BPC** actually said:

> [@Budget Player Cadet](#):
>
> How does this person exist? How has he managed to make it to 30-odd years of life? If I hated an immutable part of my identity that much, I would have killed myself years ago. […]
>
> I don’t like myself very much. But this guy… Jeez. How has he not committed suicide? He clearly hates homosexuals a whole awful lot, and benig a homosexual himself, this would imply some serious self-hatred.

**BPC** is not saying Yiannopoulos should kill himself. He’s expressing amazement at how Yiannopoulos has managed **not** to kill himself, given the amount of internalized self-loathing implied by his homophobic scorn and contempt for gay people.

 In the first place, **BPC** did **not** say “If I was Yiannopoulos I’d kill myself”. So your elaborately contrived distortion of his remarks completely falls to the ground.

In the second place, you’re stupidly and/or dishonestly conflating a commonplace idiom for conveying advice with a different kind of hypothetical statement. What **BPC** said was more analogous to remarks like _“If I had to live in the same building with those neighbors I’d go crazy”_ or _“If my haircut turned out like that I’d never leave the house”_. **People who say such things are not seriously suggesting that the neighbor _ought_ to go crazy or that the haircut victim _ought_ never to leave the house.**
When someone tells you something like that you don’t understand it as a suggestion on what you should do? please don’t be disingenuous.
You really don’t have a leg to stand on when it comes to complaining about disingenuousness in others. Your entire feeble argument on this topic is based on a disingenuous misinterpretation of what **BPC** said.

Sure. But nobody here is saying anything like that to or about Yiannopoulos, so you can quit ragewanking over your imaginary appalling scenario which doesn’t actually exist.
Drawing people away from the progressive left diminishes its political power
 In one breath you recognize that Yiannopoulos is a troll who says shit just to stir shit. And in the next breath you credulously take his unsupported word for it that he’s “dangerous” and is somehow “diminishing the power” of “the left” because he’s spearheading some kind of revolution in conservative acceptance of gays. That’s some Nigerian-email-scam-level of gullibility you’ve got going there.
and in my opinion him driving that wedge is in part what makes him especially loathsome to the progressive left; you seem to think that is not the case
Well, that’s because I’m not naive enough to accept the unsupported assertions of an unprincipled lying shit-stirring professional troll about the super-important groundbreaking impact he’s allegedly having on the political climate.

Nothing about conservatives’ brief bedfellowship with their “token homo” racist misogynist homophobic bad-boy was actually accomplishing anything to “draw people away from the progressive left”. **Yiannopoulos advertised himself as a “dangerous” courageous rebel against so-called liberal tyranny because credulous conservatives lapped it up and gave him money for it, not because it was true.**

> What makes Milo racist? Are you just throwing out accusations or has he demonstrated he’s a racist? And he’s gay. What’s up with the accusation of homophobic? What reality do some of you live in where words have no meaning?

Well, maybe we can start with his attitude towards sex and race. It’s one thing if you have a preference towards a certain race, sexually. That’s pretty normal. It’s another to fetishize black people in a way that explicitly magnifies them as “other” and as sex objects. Then there’s his constant jabs towards “black crime”, and I really don’t want to have to explain why constantly and explicitly drawing attention to “black crime” in those terms, inflating it, and at the same time [trying to minimalize or discredit the very existence of hate crimes](http://archive.is/Kw54p) might be _a wee bit problematic_. This is a well-understood and straightforward playbook, that works disturbingly well. If you don’t get it, you’re probably their target audience.

Meanwhile, are we seriously questioning Milo’s homophobia? Read the first post. Milo has stated on various occasions that he “chose” to be gay, that he wishes he wasn’t gay, that he feels gay people can’t make good parents, and in his most recent escapade explicitly linked homosexuality to pedophilia. If it were anything but a gay man, it would be blatantly obvious what a homophobic prick the person taking those positions was. Why does him being gay somehow change that? The entire premise of the thread is based around how much this self-described “faggot” hates homosexuals.

This.

Seriously, why is this so hard? Why do people feel the need to question our motives when it’s _so_ freakin’ obvious that our stated motives are justified? :smack:

His deferential treatment of the racist white-supremacist “alt-right”, for example. Mind you, I don’t know or care what Yiannopoulos’s own personal **feelings** about racial equality may be; “fuck his feelings”, as he himself likes to say. And we already know that he’s a professional troll who says shit to stir shit, as I noted before. But the fact that he promotes and condones racist ideologies is reason enough to describe his trolling as racist.

For example, his servile [whitewashing of white supremacists in the “alt-right” as](http://www.breitbart.com/tech/2016/03/29/an-establishment-conservatives-guide-to-the-alt-right/)

> [@](#):

> unapologetically embracing a new identity politics that prioritises the interests of their own demographic […] natural conservatives have other concerns: chiefly, the preservation of their own tribe and its culture […] The alt-right’s intellectuals would also argue that culture is inseparable from race. The alt-right believe that some degree of separation between peoples is necessary for a culture to be preserved

His retweeting and pretending to respond to fake tweets manufactured by his supporters purporting to be from black actress Leslie Jones, which were written in an exaggerated “darky” dialect, was also a pretty racist thing to do. (Likewise using his sexual history to try to deflect accusations of racism by bragging about how much he loves “black dick”: the edgy gay version of “some of my best friends are black”.)
And he’s gay. What’s up with the accusation of homophobic? What reality do some of you live in where words have no meaning?
If you don’t realize that some gay people can be homophobic, just as some women can be misogynist and some blacks can be racist, then you’re giving **Ale** a run for his money for the Naive Credulity Prize.

Yiannopoulos, as **BPC** pointed out, is [on record](http://www.pinknews.co.uk/2015/10/02/gay-columnist-claims-he-would-cure-his-homosexuality-if-he-could/) as saying that he thinks his homosexual behavior is wrong, if he could choose not to be homosexual he would do so, and that his behavior is against Biblical values that make “our” culture better than other cultures. That’s plain old bigotry against homosexuality, even if it’s a self-declared homosexual who’s professing it.

Exactly. As I pointed out, and as posters such as **octopus** and **Ale** and **Rick Sanchez** conveniently ignore, there are plenty of prominent conservative gay people out there, from Andrew Sullivan to Peter Thiel. They don’t get anywhere near the contempt and vitriol that Yiannopoulos attracts, because although they may support a large number of controversial and IMO sometimes despicable positions, they are not mere opportunistic outrage-mongering shit-stirring racist misogynist homophobic professional trolls.

Apparently, [he likes black cock](https://order-order.com/2017/02/22/12-things-wont-read-milo-elsewhere/) (or arse).
