> I don’t know about that. Baptism happens ASAP after birth. Confession/Communion is almost always 2nd grade. Confirmation seems to be the biggest wild card: anywhere from 9-12. And of course the others are “as needed”.
>
> BTW, your first cite only talks about Eastern Rite sacraments being confirmation before communion. Your second cite is just to another MB where someone is posting something. Hardly definitive.

My 1st Communion and Confession were in grade school (2nd or 3rd Grade) I wasn’t Confirmed until 10th Grade. (Catholic from MA FWIW)

> Do these married priests have to stop coitus or can they merrily keep at it happy in the knowledge that they’re exploiting the biggest loophole in the catholic church?

They still go at it. The RCC is supportive of marital sex, so long as the participants realize that it’s actually a three-way with the risen Jesus and the Holy Ghost gets to watch.

As for the sacraments, I’ve never heard it called “Penance”. Always, it’s been “Reconciliation.” And for that matter, it’s officially “the Sacrament of the Eucharist”, not “Communion.” Apparently, this is such a common argument that the Catechism even has [a section devoted to it](http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P47.HTM).

As for order, the Catechism also says that [Confirmation comes second](http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P3T.HTM) and [Eucharist third](http://www.vatican.va/archive/ENG0015/__P3W.HTM). Baptism is, of course, first.

I’m not Polycarp, but I’ll weigh in. Anglican clergymen who enter the Catholic church and wish to minister as priests do indeed have to be ordained in a Catholic ceremony.

> _Apostolicae Curae_, Leo XIII’s _motu proprio_, remains in effect. But it’s important to notice what question it answers – whether orders _in the Church of England_ are valid from the Catholic perspective (no). There are several arguments adduced to demonstrate this (including one, the _traditio porrectionis_,)

Just noticed your answer, when **UDS** posted his hence upping the thread(thanks to both)
Now, I’ve been unable to find what “traditio porrectionis” meant. Could you elaborate?
