# How does the Christmas season make you feel?

This is my first Christmas season without my dad. It’s a downer. I hope next year is better emotionally.

The firsts are really hard. For me, it definitely got better after that. I hope the same is true for you.

I voted Other. We were four siblings born over 20 years, so we were never very close, and my parents never did anything to help. I can’t stand Christmas music and I am an agnostic. Unfortunately my wife’s family is dysfunctional and dying off so we’re two people who’s respective families provide nothing in terms of relaxed togetherness.

There are still things we have to do which cause stress though, ideally, I would like Christmas to simply be some time off with no obligations.
