I’ve just checked and as Mangetout says, there is a vessel of that name. The IMO number is correct, the size looks right to me, the registry is correct. So there’s no reason to think it’s a fake photo.
The vessel is managed by Titan Ocean Pte Ltd, who name all their ships the “Titan [insert astronomy related term here]”.
There’s a lot of ships with funny names (to Western ears). For some reason (perhaps a Japanese-speaker could explain why) there are heaps of Japanese ships named such that (while the spelling varies) they sound like the “Fuck you [something]”.
Also, I used to do work for a Korean company that named its ships the “[something] Yu”.
I can’t remember the spellings, but amongst others they had the “Fok Yu” and the “Suk Yu”…
The fastest and easiest way to get barnacles off of a hull is to hire Chuck Norris to stare down the ship and feign a roundhouse kick. The barnacles will flee for safety.
I’m not a mod, and don’t want to play on on television, but several of us have in course of threads mentioned what company we work for.
I think as long as you are not pimping your company at every turn, it shouldn’t be a problem.
Perhaps a real mod will wander by, and give you a more official ruling.
Titan Uranus… I will have to be on the lookout for that ship in my travels!
I had thought Photoshop because, at least to my eye, the letters NUS in URA-NUS
looked slightly out of alignment… but I will take it at face value… and recommend a cruise on it to my proctologist! LOL
As for the company thing, thank you Rick for answering my question. Absent word from a genuine, certified moderator, I will take your advice!
As long as you’re not spamming the board for the latest in manhood enlarging devices etc., your credentials are certainly welcome here.

Gringo_Miami, welcome to the Board and hope you stick around.
Ok so they do use dry docking to maintain their hulls. Thanks for the answers everyone. I can’t even imagine how expensive that job must cost. Decent bottom paint costs around $200 per gallon around here and I’m sure they use the best stuff available.
Here is an older photo of a Navy ship and it looks like they use red and then black paint for the very bottom of the ship.
