I work for county GIS. We are in charge of addressing.
No one in the county gets mail delivery. What ever has changed is turning things into a mess. It’s a bitch that they won’t tell you how they are goin to ship, for now, I think we will recommend using your street address and not your POB.
People are gonna squawk because you may not get the cheapest shipping, but do you want your package or not?
With this change it looks like we have to send the PO all the counties street addresses. These change nearly daily of course. At this point we don’t -
- Know who to send it too
- What file format they want
- What schema do they want
- Do we do this by zip code or the entire county
- DB update schedule
We just fount out about this yesterday, some one else in my department is trying to handle this so I’m a little low on facts at the moment.
