OK, looks like I’m the first. We had a black lab cross. I don’t have a strong memory about her in thunder storms but she absolutely adored fireworks. I know someone is going to tell me that I failed to understand my own dog’s reaction but I promise you, she loved them. She would run around the house, diving under curtains so that she could watch them through the windows. Barking and tailwagging like crazy. Eventually we would have to take her out for a walk and she would be jumping around, dragging us towards anything that she saw. If she saw a Catherine wheel or something ground mounted, she would all but tear your arm off trying to get to it.
They say that gun dogs are bred to be fine with the banging.
For what its worth she also loved steam engines and was a veteran of quite a few preserved railways.
