I’m not famous. Not average, not boring & not dull. But I’m not famous. Not GQ, nor cheap stew, nor Martin Mull. I’m not famous… Fame is just a fog elsewhere & here there’s not a vapor Don’t ask for autographs my dear; (their just not worth the paper!) I am world-famous in Poland! I am known to a few hundred thousand people, at least. I am the second one to come up when you look up my name on Google, even though it’s extremely common and there are a few famous women with my name. I have been recognized a few times, which completely freaked me out. I am really a very private person. Fame is my version of hell. ---

If I walked around Capitol Hill for a couple of hours on a weekend chances are good several people would recognize me. However, that’s because lots of kids and their parents would recognize their school librarian. ---

I’m famous within an quite narrow spectrum of research and fans of some types of plants. My fan mail comes from complete plant nerds both professional and amateur. ---

Locally, the band I play with has performed for a few embassies and several bars although as a drummer I don’t get the same attention as the singer/lead guitarist does. ☹ At work, we have internal technical conferences every year and I have co-authored or presented a fair number papers over the years, so there are a quite a few that people that recognize my name. With the comming “Great Crew Change” I suspect that will diminish. ---

The British security services have a file on me because of where I’ve worked; my brother is internationally known within his field. Beyond that I’m a nobody, thankfully. Interestingly, even though I show up on a Google search, I don’t show up on Google Images, even though I know there’s a pic or three of me out there. ---

I have no claim to fame, but a few relatives do. I’ve mentioned this before on the dope, one of my relatives committed a well-known crime. Trust me, you’ve all heard about it (at least in the US). I don’t say which because I prefer anonymity (and we share surnames). One of mizPullin’s cousins is a singer who has 30+ hits on the charts, with several making the #1 spot over the years. I didn’t realize they were kin until long after we’d been married, as he’d changed the spelling of his last name. As I recall, the subject never came up until we’d been married for 15 years and I mentioned I liked his music. ---

Just slightly well-known regionally. Writing dozen of computer books will do it to you. And that kind of fame might be annoying, as sometimes total strangers call you on a phone at 7 a.m. wanting to know how to press any button. So it is no problem finding me on Google and other places on the Internet, but I seriously doubt I’ll ever have an article even in a local version of Wikipedia. Curious. Have anyone here article about him/her in Wikipedia? Does not count if you wrote it. ---

Well, You’re on page 4 of Google before someone mentions me as the recording engineer on their soundcloud page (I was free). That’s kind of by design, though. If I could keep my unusual name from referencing me on the internet, I was going to do it. Until they mentioned me, you couldn’t find anything about me until much deeper in the results. On the other hand, I’ve been recognized twice on the street by complete strangers as being a musician, and they correctly identified the band and the instrument. If being recognized twice on the street counts as famous, then I’m famous to a small clique of locals. Total benefits of fame: I got to cut in line for a show on one occasion, and pee in a bottle on the other. So, on balance, I picked “teeming” ---

I’m pretty famous, I have a seriously mentally ill brother who hated all of our families guts , and as the last surviving member of that family I am now the subject of a very serious cyber hate campaign , also IRL . It all started when our dad threw him out of the house aged 15 for his 'Rent Boy ’ activities . He also carried out the same campaign on our other (now dead brother ) but it had less impact because it was before the Internet . He hated that brother because he was Mums favourite , and also hated Mum because of it , often wishing her dead . He started a fight with me , but on losing it told me that he was going to get me murdered .(It was in Thailand , so it would have been pretty cheap LOL ) Sounds very dramatic , but unfortunately its the gods honest truth . I think that what pushed him over the edge was getting HIV from a working girl, and then to ‘get revenge’ started deliberately spreading it , including to his Thai Wife . I actually caught him wiping his sweat into my food , I suppose so that I would get infected as well . Didn’t work ! He was ostracised by the other Ex Pats because of this and now hates them as well .He had to cash his pension in to part pay off the Thai Pimps and also had to give them his SUV. He now can only frequent the Lady boys as he’s been told what will happen to him if he attempts to have sex with the working girls . He has taken to messaging complete strangers on FB letters pages that i’ve debated with coming out with all sorts of sick comments about me, so you can see how obsessed he is . . To give some idea of his mental state he says he murdered our Father (Who actually died of Tuberculosis,is a Yachtmaster (He isn’t ) and has two wives , amongst other things .(He hasn’t by the way ) Its quite creepy, but has its funny side and I’m never bored ! So yes I am famous , but I’d much prefer not to be , but who knows maybe I’ll write a book about it one day . ---
