As I type this I am sitting at my office desk 1/4 mile (400 m) from the building I was born in (it is no longer a hospital). My house is 9.75 miles from that building. I have lived as far as 750 miles from it in the past. ---

Google Maps says 874 miles from my home to Deaconess Hospital on Mary St in Evansville IN. Haven’t lived any closer since I was 2. ---

1880.3552 miles. 3026.1426 kilometers. Great circle route. Given my location and that both are major CMA’s, I wonder who can figure out which cities I am referring to. 3919 kms on the road according to Google Maps. Though if I stay inside Canada it drops to 3,579 by road. ---
