I think this may have been done before if you want to know others. As for me I lived about 5 miles from the hospital I was born at until I was 16. Then I moved 100 miles north until I was 18 Now I live a further 100 miles north… I’m sensing a pattern. 🙂 ---

Until I went to college, I was about 2 miles away. At college, about 1200 miles. Then I was about 100 miles. 300 miles, 100 miles, 100 miles (all the 100 miles are different cities) and now I’m about 650 miles away. ---

Until I was 19, I lived up from the shore of the same [lake](http://www.city.greatersudbury.on.ca/cms/index.cfm?app=div_lakewaterquality&lang=en&currID=713&parID=0) as the [hospital](http://www.akela.zarcrom.com/photos/010822/010822-06.jpg) where I was born. Then I went to university, and now I live about 450 kilometres away, as the crow flies - more like 500 by road. (I can see my house from [here](http://www.cs.uwaterloo.ca/~jorchard/aerial/ottawa.jpg)!) ---

According to the link in **Idlewild** ’s post, it’s 915 miles. However, if you’re going to drive, it adds a couple hundred miles to the distance - 1186 miles. ---

Right now I live about 40 miles from where I was born, although I only live about 4 miles from where my dad was born and about 6 miles from where my mom was born. My great-grandparents are buried about 3 miles from here…Next week (if all goes according to plan) we will be living about 1 mile from where I was born and about 10 from where the wife was born… ---

Rats, last time we did this I was over 10,000 miles. But I’ve moved closer to my birthplace (relatively speaking), so now it’s only about 9400 miles.
