Born in Dallas, currently live in Austin. So, not far at all. I am guessing that any Doper who lives around 12,450 miles from birth home would win, since it would be mathematically impossible to be further than that. ---

As the crow flies, or driving? Google Maps gives me 3,050 as driving distance, but it’s apparently only 2,500 as the crow flies. ETA: I’m suggesting people use the latter, as the former will give inconsistent results depending on where, and whether, roads exist between the two places. ---

1831 miles, as the crow flies (San Jose, CA to Brookfield, IL). I only lived in San Jose for three months. As I noted in a different thread here the other day, other than those first three months of my life, I’ve always lived within 75 miles of the western shore of Lake Michigan. ---
