Driving, Mapquest says 1185 miles from my current home to the house where I was born. (Yes, house, no hospitals for Mama TeaElle or her daughter.) The Geobyte city distance tool says that as the crow flies, the cities are 1004 miles apart. ---

From my house in Tallahassee to St. Joseph’s Hospital in Hamilton, Ontario is 1186.02 miles, which Mapquest seems to think would take 19 hours and 59 minutes to drive. Not likely! ---

My parents’ house is 3.47 miles from Grossmont Hospital in La Mesa, but my house in American Canyon is 513.31 miles from there. Both are in California, though, and I don’t think I’ll live anywhere else ('less maybe I move to Amsterdam). ---

1464.95 miles from Omaha Nebraska to Sandown NH. I’ve traveled a bit more than that though… we moved from Offut AFB to Insurlik Turkey shortly after I was born (Dad got restationed as part of his duty in the USAF), then returned to their birthtown. I ran out of the liberal state of Mass and into the nice cosy fit of Conservative NH well into my late 20’s. The net change in location from my youth to my birthplace vs. my current location to my birthplace is about 1 mile if you drove it. ---
