[Fascism quiz here](http://www.anesi.com/fscale.htm). I am a “liberal airhead” (2.1, thankfully), and only barely escaped being a “whining rotter”. But what about you? Unlike most of there quizzes, there is an actual explanation of the questions at the end, which is nice. “Requires Netscape Navigator version 2.0 or higher” 😉 ---

It just says you’re an average American by the standards that existed in 1950. Many would dispute that was an era noted for tolerance. ---

I was rather more flummoxed by question 22, “Wars and social troubles may someday be ended by an earthquake or flood that will destroy the whole world.” It seems to simply be true—I mean, anything that destroys the whole world will end wars and social troubles. Apparently, the question supposedly falls under “Superstition and Stereotypy: The belief in mystical determinants of the individual’s fate; the disposition to think in rigid categories.” I’m not sure I see how that works. I only somewhat agreed because I don’t believe floods or earthquakes of sufficient magnitude are possible, barring something like a meteor impact, but how that influences the assessment of my political leanings is something of a mystery to me. ---
