I’m looking at the several web sites with “oil on canvas” reproductions – a 30x22 runs $262 (US), and costs more for stretching. How good are these things? Do they look good or are they pathetic? Worth it? ---

Do they actually charge by the size? That should pretty much answer your question. ---

I ordered some from OKpainting in taiwan (I think) and I’m really happy with them. It’s a few Lichtenstein reproductions, which may be easier to recreate than a Rembrandt or Monet, but still. I do think the colors are a bit different and it’s not like they are meant to fool people into thinking they are the real thing. All in all, you would probably see the difference if you put them next to the original, but they are really nice and I’m happy with them.
