# How "green" is biking to work?

I am REALLY skeptical about that number. They simply say “one study”, without any kind of cite. I suspect the study was simply comparing the raw calories, without any consideration to the numerous other factor that make cycling far (i.e. many orders of magnitude) more effcient than driving.

Probably true, but even if it’s a worst-case scenerio, it was good enough to convince **mr. jp**.
