Taxes are lower, you have far more goods and services to choose from, your quality of life is far higher, the environment is cleaner, there is less violence in the world, and less crime in the US. We generally consider countries that have a quality of life similar to what we had in the 60’s to be shitholes. They decided to move because they DON’T OWN the freehold. The Duke of Westminster does (it’s some of the most valuable real-estate in London). There’s an old Foreign Office tale that when the Americans told the Duke to name any price, he said that if they really wanted it, then he’d swap it for the land the US government confiscated from his family during the American War of Independence. Recently the Church which President Carter delivers Sunday School lessons have been posting his lessons on youtube. He spends the first 10-15 minutes usually talking about current events and what he’s up to with his work with the Carter Center. A lot of the talk obviously has been to do with the current administration and North Korea. Although he doesn’t mention Trump by name you can tell President Carter doesn’t think much of him.
