The perception of immigrants from Haiti, even successful ones like Republican congresswoman Mia Love, is that the president called them shitholes. Her remarks make this perfectly clear. ---

Exactly. But I don’t think any of DJT’s remarks were really in reference to the relative wealth or education of whatever countries he was referring to. The whole “shithole” remark was yet another screeching deafening dog whistle. And we know this because he added, “why can’t we get more people from Norway?” which is simply saying “why can’t we get more white people?” It’s that simple. And anyone that feels the need to defend the stable genius president for saying this is either too stupid or ignorant to understand this or is a racist as well. ---
