Trading partners just might not step up for T bill auctions, and lead to higher interest rates and a debasement of the dollar. A nice ripple on effect of a trade war. ---

That’s truly horrifying. Especially since the US is going to need 1.5 trillion to make up for the money this administration is going to divert from the treasury to give to their friends. I don’t even want to think about what we’re going to be paying to service that debt. ---

I didn’t know where to post this, so decided to put it here. In the Washington Post today there’s an [article](https://www.washingtonpost.com/politics/questions-linger-about-how-melania-trump-a-slovenian-model-scored-the-einstein-visa/2018/02/28/d307ddb2-1b35-11e8-ae5a-16e60e4605f3_story.html?utm_term=.85be67bd314d)questioning how Melania Trump qualified for the so-called “Einstein Visa,” which is reserved for notable scientists, writers, artists, who have made significant contributions to the world and/or have gotten awards like Pulitzers, Nobels, Oscars, etc. That question probably does deserve a thread of its own. HOWEVER, what struck me in the article was this [picture](https://img.washingtonpost.com/rf/image_1024w/2010-2019/WashingtonPost/2018/03/01/Others/Images/2018-02-28/GettyImages-707959.jpg?uuid=otF2VhzHEeiY9c7s-odBtg)of Melania that accompanied it. It is undated, but from the context, seems to be from when she first met Donny. Have we seen ANYTHING remotely resembling that dazzling, happy smile in the last couple of years, since the campaign began and including the first year of his [del]reign[/del] presidency? That is the picture of a happy woman. Now, not so much. ---

I just noticed that Billy Graham’s funeral was attended by both Trump and Pence Pence…sure. That’s really all the VP has to do, is to go to funerals. But Trump? Seriously? First: he should be struck by lightning any time he goes near any faith-based service. But other than the State of the Union, are there any occasions that warrant attendance by both the Prez and the Veep? But then, he’s got nothing better to do than watch Fox and start trade wars. ---
