Just so’s nobody’s wondering: thump is LOVING all the negative press. He’s loving that he’s in every headline and his name is at the end of every reporter’s fingertips. He loves being in the center of the firestorm that he has created. He revels in the outrage, the shock, the weeping, wailing, and the gnashing of teeth. He eats this up with a spoon. It makes him feel like a Big Man with Big Hands and a Big Brain. “Look what I made, Mommy!” pointing gleefully to the toilet. (Or in his case, “Daddy.”) ---

So the EU is our foe, Trump’s father wasn’t born where Trump knows he was, and Trump believes Putin over his own hand-picked intelligence community advisors because Putin strongly denied any wrongdoing. Got it. :: head explodes :: ---

So Trump is claiming to be closer to his German roots than he actually is? Sounds like he’s due for a nickname, a la Pocahontas. “Munchausen” might be appropriate: Grandiose liar whose name is now associated with evil behavior. Plus Trump _does_ love the title “Baron.” ---

Grant, for the sake of argument, two things: one, that Trump’s go-to response to any criticism is flying off the handle: insults, threats, criminal activity, boasts about how great he is and how pathetic you are — and he’ll hold that grudge for years, maybe decades, wildly overreacting; and two, if you’re a VIP who _hasn’t_ criticized him, he doesn’t yet go tit-for-tat — where it’s more like tit-tit-tat-tit-tat-tit-tit for tat; but Trump’s still waiting for that tat before he overreacts, or reacts _at all_ negatively. “I am concerned” means nothing. If the GOP were the slightest bit patriotic every one of them would be saying “As of now my only legislative priority is the impeachment, conviction, and removal from office of Donald Trump.” Russia attacked the USA, an actual act of war, and the best thing you can say for Trump is that he refuses to do anything about it. What’s happening is absolutely staggering. Impeachment and removal from office is the LEAST that must be done and any GOPer who continues to support Trump is a traitor. ---

Did Sun Tzu mention a few things about leadership with potentially applicable parallels in Trumpian behavior? A leader leads by example, not by force.
