My grandmother posted a “Trump won get over it” meme on Facebook the other day. I cannot comprehend it. It really breaks my heart to realize someone I was so close to is such a hateful, bitter person. But these are deep-Virginia octogenarians whose church tells them gays will cause the apocalypse, so I guess it’s my fault for expecting anything different. I thought she was better than that. Oh well. Her town is a decaying shithole and she lives alone with her house full of 1950’s garbage and yapping little dogs. She’s never met her great-granddaughter, and now she never will. ---
