Does the US recognize domestic partners where the legal arrangement is civil union or common law marriage? Just wondering as our Prime Minister was at the UN recently with her domestic partner (and small baby). PM and partner aren’t married (though under NZ law they’d be considered _de facto_ and treated as married for various purposes.) It could well be however that her partner traveled on a visa waiver or something. ---
