From Roll Call, 10/9: President Donald Trump took jabs at potential Democratic candidates at an Iowa rally Tuesday night, calling their party “an angry mob.” “You don’t hand matches to an arsonists. And you don’t hand power to an angry mob,” he told rallygoers in Council Bluffs, Iowa. “If you want to defeat the swamp, you’ll have to elect Republicans.” Would some brave soul please volunteer to step forward and remind Trump that 2016 is over and he’s, like, president of _all_ the people? Just sayin’. ---

When the opposition starts pretending that they are _doing_ what we _want_ to do…they have surrendered the argument. Next stage is when they start claiming that they _always_ wanted to do it, but the liberals got in the way. If our people get decent health care, and the Pubbies claim the credit, fuck it. That’s a better outcome than getting about half of that, and the liberals get credit for trying. ---
