Sorry, buddy, I’m trying to source this but I’m either too old or too stupid. It can’t be “When I Paint My Masterpiece,” because Bob was only talking about a date with Botticelli’s niece, which would put his birth date back by only about 500 years. The only other reference I can gather is Lou Reed’s “Heroin,” where he wished he was “born a thousand years ago.” And sailing the darkened seas on a great big clipper ship would be another gross anachronism. ---

Following his usual pattern and re. the Kurds/Turkey/Syria situation he is now claiming that the cease fire which is not a cease fire and the safe zone which may or may not be safe are due to his wonderful strategizing (the best!). And he’s so unfocused that he can’t even say a three-word sentence without two or more detours, several of which contradict each other. But he’s got the best strategy and the best words and he knows better than “his” generals who are anyway the best and we’ll get sued but it doesn’t matter because we never pay anyway and we’ve got the best financial documents but nobody can understand them and we’ve got the best words but I already said that and I’m such a genius, the other day several men, very large men like you wouldn’t believe came up to me and with tears in their eyes they said “Mr. President”, that’s what they called me, Mr. President, they said to me “this is such a great thing that you’ve done for the Kurds we’d never known you were so generous”. That’s what they said. There’s people who make me wish I was a different species. A poisonous one and within range, preferably. ---
