It wouldn’t have occurred to Trump that Woodward might report something that would make Trump look bad (i.e. the truth). (my bolding in the quote) ---

The other tidbit from that book (the Michael Schmidt book Donald Trump vs the United States) that I found interesting was the speculation that Robert Mueller wasn’t at the top of his game, to put it politely. To put it less politely, they suggested that he might have medical issues that were causing cognitive problems. This was based on his delegating key witness interviews - which was apparently uncharacteristic and the fact that he requested an assistant when he gave congressional testimony - plus the general observation that he just wasn’t as sharp as he used to be. ---

I would guess that most of the people there are local, so how on earth can they either not know he’s lying or not know they don’t have 20 new plants in their own neighborhoods? I keep saying these people are going to fucking kill me, but they are taking _so long._ ---
