Some interesting Secret Service questions. As I understand it, First Lady widows get SS until they die or get remarried. Presumably, presidential ex-spouses don’t get it. I presume that the ex-presidential detail gets a lot smaller after being sworn out of office. Also I believe that adult children of ex-presidents lose their SS detail. Can someone attest to that or show a link proving or disproving? ---

I’m sure Trump’s silence is because he can’t figure out how it benefits him. Maybe, I highly doubt it, but maybe he’s humbled by the fact that the computer espionage he thought was happening at the polls was actually happening on his own turf, by the Russians he thought he was on good terms with. Maybe he realizes he has no idea what to do about it, and he can avoid the unpleasantness of national security breaches by actually leaving January 20th. Or maybe he realizes he’s actually incapable of protecting anything other than his own interests, and this threat is against his country instead of him. He’s already displayed a reluctance to go to war by withdrawing our troops from Middle Eastern hot spots, and realizes his bravado does nothing to deter high tech invasions. ---
