requesting a recount following procedures is fine - telling someone to ‘find x votes’ - not so much. (He may think he’s doing the former - but in fact he’s doing the latter). That the recounts are already done - that all of his ‘facts’ are already answered for - and the vote is already certified - these are things that he should _respect_ if he actaully was who he claims to be. ---

Well, tomorrow is Jan 6th, the day Trump says he’s going to seize control of the government. Whacky over-stuffed LARPers with plate carriers and long guns (in such tastefully matching Camo…!) will be running around trying to start fights and trying to shoot people while one of their friends tries to film it all with a cellphone. My refrigerator is well stocked with food, I’ve never watched Bridgerton, my doors are well secure and it’s a Wednesday in a Pandemic. I think I’ll stay home. ---

There are protesters in the House chamber, including one on the dais. The DC government has requested the National Guard, but it apparently has to be approved by the DoD first and we know who is in charge there. This is terrifying. ---

Well, Trump just made it worse with what he just said, adding fuel to the fire. The election was stolen, we know you’re sad and angry, we love you, go home. I never posted in this thread before, since my answer was “he pisses me off by just existing”, but this tops everything. He’s enraged me by turning America into a dangerous Trumpistan. An ABC reporter is saying that she’s not in Kabul or Baghdad, she’s in DC, but it feels more dangerous in war zones where she’s been .
