I wrote emails to the GOP senators who supported Trump’s conviction, commending them for their courage and their commitment to country over party. I disagree with them on virtually everything else (but didn’t write that, of course), and would rather see good Democrats hold their seats. When your foe is injuring himself, don’t interrupt. ---

Trump pissed me off today by not joining in the ad showing every living ex-President and his wife except Orangeman and Melania receiving their Covid-19 vaccinations. [Article.](https://www.cnn.com/2021/03/11/politics/former-presidents-vaccine-psa/index.html) The particularly stupid thing is that he claims he _got_ his shot already, and he used to brag about how he brought about the vaccines by (Congress) spending lots of money on it. But he does nothing to encourage his followers in MAGA-land to get “his” vaccines. Including his vaccination and Melania’s (but mostly his) in the ad would go a long way in dispelling right-wing/red-state/MAGA opposition or skepticism of the vaccines, which in turn affects public health for the rest of us (reservoir of infection and all that). So him not playing along pisses me off. ---
