I think the reason he went to Saudi first are evident. Trump needed a big win. So he did what he does best - a ceremonial signing of a “deal” that someone else negotiated. I’m pretty sure this has been going on within the Trump Organization for the past 10 years, at least. So, the Saudi trip soothed the big orange baby. Plus the Saudis are into that overblown piss-elegant Richie Rich tackiness that screams TRUMP!!, so he felt right at home. And maybe they convinced him that the magic genie orb recharged the batteries of his life force. ---

The President’s first foreign trip is usually either to Canada or Mexico, going back to Reagan. So far I’ve heard no complaints that Trump has broken with tradition in that respect. I can’t imagine Trump would have anything to say to us worth listening to. ---

But you weren’t saying “Pelosi was questioning why he visited SA first, here’s a good reason”, you were saying “Pelosi is upset that he’s not visiting countries alphabetically”. Whether or not there was a good reason to visit SA first (not an issue I care about particularly one way or the other) doesn’t absolve you of having committed yourself to a spectacularly stupid criticism of Pelosi.
