I just saw footage of Trump advising Catalonians to stick with Spain “because it’s a great country” and it has a “great history”. I guess that’s one way of telling people that he thinks Europe’s a dump because he cheered when Britain left it. Seems he also thought that Scotland should be happy to leave crappy England. I swear, even when he tries to be a unifying voice… Oh, what’s the point? I’ve got a crappy president. He makes Kim Jong look like the sane guy in the room. ---

And now we learn that, not content with physically mocking\* a disabled reporter during the campaign, Trump is reported to be [physically mocking both McConnell and McCain](http://www.businessinsider.com/trump-mcconnell-john-mccain-health-care-alabama-election-2017-9) in private. I despise McConnell; despite his helping to kill ACA repeal I don’t much care for McCain, for many reasons; but goddammit, mockingly aping McConnell is simply childish, and mockingly aping the arm movements of McCain, who broke both arms in the crash that made him a North Vietnamese prisoner, is just downright despicable for anyone, let alone Mr. “Bone Spur” Deferment. - Not gonna link to video of it; my blood pressure doesn’t need to see it again and it’s easy to find online. ---

To paraphrase Trump’s statement in the linked article: he was considering waiving the Jones Act, but a lot of shipping companies were opposed. So in other words, Crowley Maritime gets a vote as to whether or not the people of Puerto Rico get humanitarian relief. I’m not shocked that it’s true, just that he was stupid enough to say it out loud. ---

Well, this seems to be diving towards pure fascism where dissent will no longer be tolerated… (bolding mine) The Justice Department is demanding that Facebook turn over information from three accounts that could provide access to the personal details of thousands of activists who \*\*expressed interest in \*\* **anti-Trump rallies**. The department obtained search warrants targeting three Facebook accounts that were used to **organize Inauguration Day protests** against Donald Trump, the ACLU said late Thursday. But accessing those accounts would provide information on thousands of other users who " **liked" an anti-Trump Facebook page** , the group explained. I see vultures circling very soon if not already… “disaster capitalists” buying land for pennies on the dollar, from people already teetering on the edge, collection agencies going nuts and tacking on “late fees” for people who are already wiped out, banks jacking up interest rates on usurious repair loans, costs of food and water skyrocketing, etc etc etc etc. ---
