Know what I would do, I would go Russian. Get some bots on social media, targeting, for instance, Cuban American Republicans in Florida. Remind them that if funds to rebuild Puerto Rico are stingy, Puerto Ricans will move. They’ll have to, won’t they? Maybe some fictitious posts from lazy, layabout Puerto Ricans about how to apply for welfare and register to vote at the same time in Miami? Sometimes,with some people, you have to somewhat dishonestly provoke compassion and humanity. Probably a sin, but one that Jesus would let slide… ---

Oh, and of course, by the time the true toll of Hurricane Maria is known, Trump, his administratrion, the media, and the public will have long since moved on to other things, and hardly anyone on the mainland will be paying any attention. ---

Trump’s white-supremacist fans won’t let themselves see it, but the level of disgust at his antics is rising faster than any storm surge.
