He was also the original voice of Tony the Tiger Ravenscroft was 91 and so was Adm.(Ret) James Stockdale, running mate with Perot in 1992. Only time I have voted third party… I got 18 points. I watched the VP debate and voted that way because Stockdale could give short and specific answers. Here is the VP debate. Instead of the emotional and longer answers of Quayle and Gore he said “I believe a woman owns her own body and what she does with it is her business, period.” He went on to say he didn’t like abortions but he had no right to make personal decisions for others. ---

Yeah, I thought he got screwed by the analysis of that debate - he opened with something like “Who am I? What am I doing here?” which was spun as him being confused/out of touch. I always thought it was him saying “no one knows who I am, and I’m here to introduce myself” - just worded very badly (and it was probably scripted for him).
