I find it hard to believe that even he would believe that extortion would work against the US government, but I could be wrong. He just hires people who will get him what he wants without having to think of how to actually accomplish it himself. Still, why would anyone think the government would go for that? They could say okay, we won’t prosecute you, and then he’d just release the classified information to our enemies anyway. So of course they’re going to do whatever they can legally to try to prevent that. ---

I bet Trump does not suffer even a moment of discomfort for his antisemitism. I don’t know why he gets away with it but it doesn’t seem to matter what he says. Add it to the outrage pile where it will sit with all the other things he has been saying for years. It won’t matter one bit. No one will hold him to account for it. Talking heads on TV will talk about what a racist he is and that will fill the airwaves for a moment or two until he insults some other group he doesn’t like. ---
