Here’s a good example of why I loath Trump. He’s arguing to abolish the Department of Education. A terrible idea, but probably a typical conversative goal. Fine. We can debate it. But than he adds the kicker, and makes his whole argument sound ridiculous. Does he truly think people at the Department of Education “hate our children?” > “We’re going to end education coming out of Washington, DC. We’re going to close it up – all those buildings all over the place and **people that in many cases hate our children.** We’re going to send it all back to the states,” Trump said in a [new campaign video](https://rumble.com/v3hdtzq-agenda47-president-trumps-ten-principles-for-great-schools-leading-to-great.html). ---

Abolishing the Department of Education has been a conservative talking point since Reagan (it was one of the three departments which Rick Perry said he wanted to close, before forgetting one of them in a 2011 debate). Funny how they never _quite_ get around to doing it. ---

This pisses me off to no end. My wife and I are DINKS. But we always vote for more money/anything for schools. But in the red county that we live in it never passes. And look what happens when education fails. I give you Lauren Boebert, MTG, Matt Gates, Jim Jordan, etal. And we get the idiots that vote for them. ---
