If Trump honestly believes he won the last election in 2020, and many of his followers believe he’s actually the “real” president even now, then they should understand he’s ineligible to run in 2024 since you can’t be president for more than two consecutive terms. ---

It gives an excuse to reject someone you don’t want. And until it inconveniences you and you decide to ignore it, it’s something you can point to in order to show you have standards and care about integrity. In normal times you wouldn’t want someone with a major indictment leading you because it would poison everything you do. Now, being indicted is practically an initiation for the Republican Party. ---
