As has been commented in another thread, Chubb probably got the deeds to unencumbered property turned over to them as collateral, as well as a big upfront fee payment, so they’re covered if he defaults. ---

Chubb is a publicly traded company, and the CEO has a responsibility to shareholders to maximize profit, not do favors for his friends who gave him stuff. If this blows up, the CEO will be out on his ear. Which is likely, because Everything Trump Touches Turns To Shit. As I mentioned in the P&E thread, Chubb Insurance Company of Russia is part of Chubb Insurance LLC. When Trump loses and Chubb has to pay out, it seems it would be a simple matter for the Russian division to transfer the lost funds to the parent company. (I wonder where they would get the money. Just saw the clip where the orange a\*\*\*\*\*\* was mocking Biden for his stutter at one of his speeches over the weekend. And his morally bankrupt supporters applauded for that of course. He can’t even string together a full sentence without going on multiple confused tangents. And every time I see or hear him or one of the surrogates talk about the border I just want to slap the hell out of him. (Well that’s a normal feeling but I’m sure everyone knows what I’m saying.) we all know what he did to the border bill and he just gets up on stage and acts like we don’t all know that? The cynicism and the corruption is so blatant and just out there. It’s so infuriating. ---
