Well the story has been picked up everywhere, it certainly looks like news based on the coverage. I’m confused why it’s supposedly a big deal that he’s free of his nondisclosure agreement when he talked about this years ago. ---

Presumably they find that the plans of Trump’s backers to get the wiminfolk back under proper control to be attractive enough that they’re okay with a bit of racism. As in, it’s okay if you elevate white men over me, so long as you put my own women in their place. I am NOT saying that this attitude prevails among the majority of men of color—but I think it _might_ prevail, among those men of color who’ve already demonstrated in the polls that they are willing to vote for Trump. Trump saying the N-word won’t bother them, I suspect. ---

The difference is the possible presence of a recording of this. Whether or not that recording still (if it ever) exists has not been proven. At least, that’s my understanding as to why this is suddenly news again… ---

My recollection is that the recordings were known back when first reported, and there was some buzz about whether the producers would release them (they wouldn’t). I checked @Johnny_Bravo ’s cite, but the only recordings mentioned (I think) were Omorosa’s personal ones. ---

Then perhaps the nondisclosure agreement was indeed about releasing the recordings. It couldn’t have been about talking about the interactions or else Pruitt would’ve been sued years ago. Releasing those tapes would, I think, have a small but non-zero impact on the election. I hope they’re made public. ---
