Shortly after he made it onto the Supreme Court, SNL had a great bit about him. The SNL Thomas was completely subservient and obsequious to all the other USSC justices. That is, he was until someone reminded him that his appointment is for life. _Then_ he showed some mettle. Too bad the real life Thomas hasn’t. ---
