I just want to make the following prediction on the record: If Trump wins, shortly after the election he will be going on and on about Grover Cleveland, how Trump is just like him (ok, maybe a little better), and how nobody ever heard of Grover until Trump started talking about him. I was going to add that Trump would bring back the $1,000 bill but with his picture on it. But on second thought, that’s not grandiose enough. I wouldn’t be surprised if clothing manufacturers and retailers were prohibited from selling any article of clothing that doesn’t prominently display the numbers 45 and 47. This is why I’m irritated that all I seem to hear on the radio right now is that Biden refuses to drop out. For fucks’ sake, is that all that matters now? We should be talking about the logistics of running an election where one of the candidates is in prison but SCOTUS fucked that up. ---

Well, I’m irritated too. But I do place some hope in the Congressional meeting about this that we’re told will take place tomorrow morning. Many House members are genuinely worried about what the lack of enthusiasm for Biden among voters will mean for their own seats. Publicly calling for Biden to pass the torch is extremely painful for these people. But I don’t think they’re willing to just give up the House in order to save Joe’s feelings. We shall see. ---
