# How has the disgraced, CONVICTED FELON, former but once again President Trump pissed you off today? No cartilage damage. The better blood flow to the area the faster it will heal. All that blood flow brings the components needed to heal. His ear got nicked and it took the skin off but there was no deeper damage. It would heal as fast as say a paper cut. ---

I’m 13 years younger than Trump, and rapped my knuckle enough to bleed, and a week later I can still see it - us old folks heal very slowly. ---

It seems likely to me that the slug passed extremely close to his ear without making any physical contact. The muzzle velocity of a round is well over mach 2, probably closer to mach 3: just the shockwave of a passing slug might be enough to rupture surface blood vessels without actually making contact. ---

Interesting. Does seem possible. Still, I don’t want to assume that he bled at all. I can’t see any plausible reason for refusal to release that particular medical record (of his exam and treatment after the incident). I mean, if he was only slightly injured (tiny break in the skin) and they want to talk about him “taking a bullet for democracy”—would that be reason enough to refuse to release the record? (I suppose it would, given Trump and the Trumpiness of his minions.) ---

The only thing unsure is what caused it. The FBI has said it was a bullet or bullet fragment without giving further details, and I don’t see any reason to doubt that. If a small fragment barely grazed his ear or part of his head, that would fit with what the FBI said, what we’ve seen on video, and would quickly heal with little to no visible damage after. So I’m personally assuming that to be the case. ---

Medical records are private by default, so doing absolutely nothing is enough to keep them hidden. But yes, of course it’s reason enough. That picture of Trump bleeding and holding his fist up is probably the strongest he’s ever looked. What does he gain by sharing a hospital report? Nothing will top that photo. Even a report that says he’s super lucky and definitely got shot in the ear reinforces a narrative that he’s **lucky** , and the only narrative Trump wants is one where he’s **strong.** ---

Ouch. How deep? About a decade ago I took the end of my middle finger off with one of those. Sucks because even after it stopped bleeding, it was still still tender for a long time. I lost an eight of an inch. Most of it grew back, with just a very minor bit that the fingerprint was missing. Eventually a little friction roughed up that spot and it completed the healing. BTW, I devised my own cover of plastic to provide protection while out was still sore. Wore that for weeks. Good luck. ---
