Cabinet positions available for sale (not really new but still in vogue). The felon told reporters earlier this week that there could be a job in the White House for Musk if Trump wins the U.S. election in 76 days, [reports CNBC News](https://www.cnbc.com/2024/08/19/trump-elon-musk-cabinet-ev-tax-credit.html). Trump said he would offer the Tesla and SpaceX CEO a role in his administration if he defeats Vice President Kamala Harris in the presidential election. It would be really weird if Musk publicly accepts - Secretary of eugenics perhaps? ---

A subservient role where he has no direct budget control and has to grift the old fashioned way and only gets as much free publicity as his fuhrer allows him (lest he hog the spotlight)? Nah, he’ll make noises and back out if/when it ever becomes a remote possibility. Probably citing his “essential” day to day role at his companies or some such nonsense. Just like he backed out of his pledge to donate tens of millions monthly to the campaign. ---

He is capable of being silent right up to the legal line. Taking the 5th hundreds of times; not testifying himself in various trials shows he can be brought to heel with sufficient and repeated blows about the head. ---

I find a certain irony that Trump is blasting electric cars, yet Musk is a pioneer in bringing electric cars to market in the US, and his car company is all electric. I bet that didn’t come up during their love fest the other day. ---
