Rump may also have something to do with [The Longshoreman’s Strike](https://www.rawstory.com/ila-port-strike-heads-explode/). Possibly related, a distant cousin on social media warned all of his contacts who are independent truckers of a huge rash of truck tire slashings late at night at truck stops along east-west highways through many different states. Truck tires are incredibly expensive and attacks like this can put many independents out of business. ---

I was definitely aware of who Trump was, in the early 90s, as a young teen. I’ve been sitting here wracking my brain trying to figure how or when I first became aware of him and this filled in a huge blank for me. I got huge into standup, sketch comedy, and late night shows like Letterman when I was still young. And I’m nearly certain I would have seen this episode at the time. Anyone who was paying attention to pop culture by the late 80s or early 90s had an idea about who Trump was. They might only have known him as a local NY celebrity, and unaware of his full activities and general personality. In 1992 I would have been 10/11 years old. And I could have identified a picture of Trump, that he lived in NYC, and was famous for real estate development. That would have been the extent though. 10 year old me: “Trump’s that guy with the weird hair they’re always making fun of on SNL and Letterman right?” ---

I’m a guy, so I don’t know: shouldn’t women be inclined to view Walz more favorably when it’s pointed out that he was somewhat cognizant of women’s needs with his tampon program? Or is he just in the pocket of Big Napkin? ---
